European Contact Group launches new website to enhance transparency as it works to create a more sustainable business environment in Europe

The European Contact Group (ECG) represents the six largest international professional services networks in Europe: BDO, Deloitte, EY, Grant Thornton, KPMG and PwC.

The ECG’s mission is to contribute constructively to European legislative and policy debates to support effective and efficient regulation, and strengthen public trust in the professional services networks’ capabilities and their commitment to act in the public interest.

The new online website www.europeancontactgroup.eu provides rapid access to position papers and publications, as well as information about activities, priorities and governance of the ECG.

ECG Chairman Maurizio Donvito said:

‘ECG members are committed to transparency and strengthening public trust. With our new website we wish to further deepen our dialogue with stakeholders interested in EU policies and regulation of capital markets’.

The members of the ECG are networks of independent and locally owned firms providing accountancy, auditing and consulting services. Firms in the ECG networks collectively employ 290.000 people in EU Member States and have 1300 offices in over 340 European cities.
