ECG responds to EC consultation on evaluation of administrative cooperation in the field of direct taxation (DAC1–6)

The ECG welcomes the EC's initiative to review the effectiveness of the Directive on Administrative Cooperation (DAC) and the renewed emphasis on a well-functioning internal market. The ECG believes that transparency and administrative cooperation measures are most effective when they are designed, implemented, and interpreted in a coherent manner that promotes certainty and does not exceed what is necessary to achieve the intended goals.
